Chapter 4: Can I see him?
                       -----------------

Silence, all I hear is damn silence. There is not 1 sound but only silence... Reason? Because, my room, it's in the back of the asylum, waaay back so that none of the other patients would have to deal with me, ripping their faces off, stab them with anything sharp, but of course I can't bite them either. It's because of this stupid muzzle, to keep us people from biting others, YES, us crazy people. Words I'm use to hearing as a 10 year old child to the age I am now. They've never believed me... And now, it's too late for anything. I've suffered through too much pain, I can't have a regular conversation without freaking the person out that I am speaking to. Every god damn time... They all leave me... Even my family.

"HEY! STAFF!!! I'm hungry! I neeeed fooood iiin meeeee! I'm stiiiill a human!" Dib shouted from the room.

A nurse quickly ran to Dib's room as she opened a small door to Dib's door, leaving the tray of food on the soft floor. "And Dib, it's chicken soup with a straw in the bowl since I am not allowed to removed the muzzle anymore from last times incident." She said softly.

Dib turned to look at the door. "Come on Gladice, help me out... Just this 1 time." He smiled at her widely.

Gladice, the nurse shook her head. "Uh, I don't think so. I need this job, and I also don't want any part of my skin to be ripped off by your insanely sharp teeth." Gladice looked away then stood up, locking the small door before she left Dib to eat.

Fucking prick..

Dib huffed under his breath and growled, heading over to the bowl of soup with an unamused expression. "You guys aren't making life any easier for me.." He sighed, getting on his knees as he leaned over to the straw and began to suck on it for the liquid of the soup to enter his mouth.

Meanwhile..

Zim took his vootcruiser to the asylum and parked it at the parking lot, desguising his ship as a normal Earth car. Zim got out of the purple 'car', and walked away from it, entering the front door of the asylum and to the front desk where he saw a tall slender man in a white lab coat file some papers, also noticing that it was in yellow folder labeled 'Project D.I.B'. It must have stand for Dib, which Zim thought was way too obvious, but what did D.I.B stand for instead of just Dib.

Zim bit his lip, really needing to know what D.I.B stands for.

The Dib seems to be some kind of expirement these humans are expirementing on. Maybe because the big head human has a very advanced knowledge and these lesser humans want to take away this 'super knowledge' of Dib so that they can make every human in this world SMART. The Dib has to be here, and I shall not rest until I find the Dib-human and break him out.

Zim walked up to the man with the lab coat, eyes still locked at the folder. "Uh... Hello, sir. I am here for Dib Membrane, my f-f-friend.." He said with a bit of disgust. "Yes, I am Dib's friend, Zim, since elementary, and Zim wants to see the Dib-thing."

The slender doctor in the lab coat raised an eyebrow, turning his gaze to the alien. "Dib is not able to see anyone at the moment, and for your own good, we don't want another visitor to get hurt so request denied." He said unintrested.

"PLEASE MR. DOCTOR MAN! Zim needs to see Dib, please!" Zim begged, gripping the man's lab coat in his hands.

"Fine, fine. But be careful, this patient is very hostile, and he will try to bite you and anything else he can hurt you with. And no matter what he says, do NOT remove Dib's straight jacket. Once it's loose, the man will murder you just for warning. You will also have only an hour to be with Dib, so right now I will take to Dib's room, but first I need you to file some papers before you could see Dib." He said to Zim.

Zim nodded as he looked at the man. "Where shall Zim file papers?"

The man lead Zim to a seat in the waiting room as he gave the confused alien a clipboard and papers to write on. "You need to write down your information and the patient you would like to visit."

Zim sighed really hating to do these Earth sign ins, which were really hard for Zim to do since he's really bad at this. "Hm... Name? ZIM!" Zim giggled as he wrote his name down. "Age? Eh... Zim shall skip that. Address... Zim knows nothing add-er-ess!" He hissed.

After a few minutes later Zim finally managed to finish the paper work with a huff. He stood up and walked over to the man, then handed him the paper work. "Here... Now may Zim see the Dib?" Zim asked with a tired tone.

The man took the paper work, looking over it as he raised an eyebrow. He thought about wether he should let the green kid enter or leave, since this patient is one of the most violent ones in this asylum. The man sighed heavily. "Erm... I see you filled out everything... And mispelled everything, even your own name." He said in a confused tone. "Alright, fine. You can visit Dib, but I'll have to call a staff member to walk you over to Dib's room. I would do it, but I have to stay here an file papers." He said.

Zim sighed, looking down to the floor.

"Your are more then welcome to sit down on one of those chairs in the waiting room while you wait for someone to come and escort you." The man pointed towards the waiting room as he was writing down stuff on a paper.

Zim looked at the room and shrugged, walking towards it and sitting down on a short blue chair.

This was pointless! I mean, damn. I could just brake in Dib's room and steal him. He's just a human! No biggy. I've delt with worse. This human building is ratherly cold, such horror of the thought of them turning that thermostat down to make it more cold. Dib could probably be frozen by now. Hm... No, that can never happen. The Dib is strong! He can survive anything! Even from a little cold or heat. Heck, he survives me!

"Zim is tired of waiting! Where is this staff?" Zim asked, very irritated at the moment.

The man at the desk raised an eyebrow at Zim. "It's only been 2 minutes."

Zim huffed and crossed his arms. "Your Earth time is difficult, and I demand to see Dib-human." He said in a grumpy tone, tapping his foot against the floor repeatedly.

"Not yet.."

"Now?"

"No."

"How about now?"

"I said no!"

"Please?"

The two argued for about an hour now as a nurse walked in to the front desk from the double doors that lead to a hallway.

"You called for help sir?" The nurse asked.

"Yes! Take this green child and keep him away from me! I CAN'T TAKE IT! NOW TAKE HIM AWAY!" The man cried out in annoyance. He had about enough of Zim and would rather die now then listen to the alien go on and on about if he could finally see Dib.

"Oh, uh sure..?" Said the nurse, confused by the man's reaction to a certain green skin boy sitting at the waiting room. She walked towards Zim and smiled. "Hello! I'm nurse Jessica, I'll be the one to escort you to Dib's room, so get off that chair and let's go."

Zim quickly jumped off his chair with glee and smiled widely. "FINALLY! I can finally see Dib." The alien squeeled, following the nurse through the double doors, feeling pretty nervous inside his squeedily spooch to see Dib.

This feeling inside, I do not recognize it but all I feel is anxioety, and I can't help but feel that my skin has turned pale... As we passed through the 2nd double doors all I saw was a hallway that had a few cracks on the walls, nail marks on the ground as if someone was dragged, and also a few dents on some doors on the side of the hallway. The last door all the way in the back of the hallway that was mostly made of metal seemed to be one of the most violent, psychotic, human that lived.. Hopefully it's not Dib, dear Irk please don't let it be Dib.

As the nurse and Zim approached the last door Zim talked about, it made the irken die inside. "Th-This is Dib's r-room?" Zim stuttered. He gulped and felt a bit pale. Just the thought, his human... A crazy man, who probably killed a bunch of people, ended up in a place like this, and not jail.

"Yes, this indeed is Dib Membrane's room. You will be here for only an hour, and after the hour is over, the door will automatically open and you will leave." The nurse pressed a few buttons on lock as it unlocked the door. "Now Zim, I caution you to not get close to him, don't untie his straight jacket, don't remove his muzzle... and DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT let him leave the room. Dib is a very dangerous man." She strictly warned the alien before opening the door. "Enjoy your visit, and good luck... Your going to need it." She mumbled the last part under her breath.

Zim watched as she left. He raised an invisible eyebrow at everything the lady said, but only shrugged at it and began to walk towards the soft room as the door behind him closed by itself, making Zim jump. He looked around the dark room, then glanced at the dark corner where a man was rocking himself back and forth.

Zim only saw his back and felt actually scared as he slowly walked towards the messy haired human. "D-Dib? I-Is that you..?"
